North Korea once again sent balloons across the inter-Korean border likely carrying trash and other debris, according to the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) late Saturday. 

While activists have not publicly disclosed anti-DPRK leaflet launches in recent days, the South Korean military has continued regular loudspeaker operations since last month.

“North Korea is floating presumed anti-South Korea trash balloons again. Currently, the wind direction is blowing from the south and southwest, but depending on whether wind direction changes, they may possibly move towards the northern Gyeonggi area,” the JCS noted in a statement.
