North Korea commenced a major plenary session of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) on Friday, with leader Kim Jong Un presiding over the meeting, state media reported Saturday morning. 

While the details of the agenda have yet to be disclosed, the likely multiday mid-year plenum is expected to focus on reviewing economic goals and comes after a summit with Moscow last week.
