Defectors send balloons with anti-regime leaflets, cash and USBs to North Korea

The launch comes after Pyongyang warned it would send a ‘hundred times’ more trash in response to such activities

A high-profile defector-activist has launched ten balloons carrying 200,000 anti-North Korea leaflets, cash and USB drives loaded with K-pop across the border a week after Pyongyang sent balloons carrying trash and feces to the South.

Park Sang-hak, the head of Fighters for a Free North Korea, announced on Thursday that his group dispatched 10 large balloons shortly after midnight from the border area of Pocheon in response to Kim Jong Un describing South Korea as the DPRK’s “unchanging enemy.”
