North Korea tested a new “controlled rocket artillery shell and ballistic control system” on Sunday, according to state media.
The Academy of Defense Development fired the 240mm controlled rocket “to evaluate its accuracy and verify its superiority,” the state-owned Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Monday.
State media gave no further information about the system’s new capabilities or its performance in the test, but stated that the academy was confident the role of 240mm multiple rocket launchers would increase in battle.
“The development of 240mm controlled rocket launchers and ballistic control system will qualitatively change the amount of rocket launchers
