North Korea launched “several” cruise missiles off the east coast, South Korean military stated on Wednesday.

This is North Korea’s fifth cruise missile test in less than a month. The last cruise missile launch was on Feb. 2, following tests of Pulwhasal-3-31 and Hwasal-2 systems, which North Korea claimed are nuclear-capable.

“Our military detected several rounds of unidentified cruise missiles at sea northeast of Wonsan today at around 9 a.m.,” the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) stated.

Experts have previously told NK Newsthat recently developed DPRK cruise missiles can more easily evade South Korean missile detection
