Seoul holds drills simulating North Korean bioterrorist and drone attacks

Exercise comes one year after DPRK drone incursion exposed major holes in military’s readiness to defend capital

South Korean civic and military agencies conducted drills on Wednesday simulating a range of North Korean attacks on Seoul, including drone incursions, artillery shellings, biochemical attacks and terrorism.

The multi-agency training exercise took place almost exactly a year to the day since multiple North Korean unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) crossed the inter-Korean border and infiltrated the Seoul metropolitan area.
