North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has instructed officials to “comprehensively aid Palestine” amid the war between Hamas and Israel, South Korea’s intelligence agency told lawmakers on Wednesday.

In a closed-door session with the National Assembly’s intelligence committee, the National Intelligence Service (NIS) also estimated that the DPRK has sent over 1 million artillery shells to Russia since earlier this year for use in Ukraine.

Yu Sang-beom, a ranking member of the intelligence committee, relayed the NIS’ assessments to reporters after the briefing.
