Biden, Xi still going round in circles on North Korea at latest summit

Experts say DPRK policy ‘remains on autopilot’ even as US and Chinese leaders make progress on other issues

North Korea only received superficial attention at the highly anticipated summit between U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Wednesday, and experts told NK News that the two leaders likely stuck to making the same old demands of each other when it came to the DPRK.

During their four-hour talks, Biden reportedly stressed the need to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula, while Xi asserted that all parties should listen to the DPRK’s legitimate concerns.
