A modern and newly delivered Land Rover Defender SUV appeared on the streets of Pyongyang earlier this year, according to a new U.N. report.

In its latest midterm report, the U.N. Panel of Experts overseeing North Korea sanctions violations stated that it has seen photos of the Land Rover Defender in the DPRK capital in Jan. 2023, though it did not publish the photos.

A letter by Jaguar Land Rover to the Panel said the vehicle was likely a customized 2020 model, which online records show originally retailed for between $50,925 and $81,925 depending on options.
