North Korea and China will work to strengthen “strategic and tactical collaboration,” according to DPRK state media Saturday following high-level talks between leader Kim Jong Un and the head of a visiting Chinese party delegation.

Kim and Chinese politburo member Li Hongzhong met on Friday after the two cheered on North Korea’s latest and largest nuclear weapons at a military parade the previous night. 

They also attended a banquet together surrounded by giant portraits hung on the walls of Kim and Chinese leader Xi Jinping, where Kim Yo Jong, the DPRK leader’s sister, made a speech, according to the state-run
