North Korean hackers target some 150 experts in phishing campaign: ROK police

Campaign targeting Korean analysts aligns with Kimsuky threat group’s focus on stealing sensitive user data

A prominent North Korean threat group targeted former South Korean high-level officials and over 100 other security experts, police announced Wednesday, as Pyongyang increases efforts to steal sensitive information from experts and journalists.

Kimsuky induced experts to access a phishing site by pretending to be unification and security experts or journalists, South Korea’s national police agency said in a press release.
