The North Korean Embassy in Madrid said the U.S. must extradite the alleged perpetrators of a raid on their facilities for “severe punishment,” in its first public comments on the incident after four years.

The embassy demanded an “official apology and a compensation” from the U.S., which it says orchestrated the 2019 “assault” on its Spanish compound, and singles out ex-U.S. Marine Christopher Ahn in its statement published by the Korean Central News Agency on Tuesday.

“As for Christopher Ahn, he is a felon who deserves severe punishment,” the statement reads. “Together with members of the anti-DPRK plot-breeding body,” Ahn
