Yoon to hold summit with Biden to discuss alliance and North Korean threats

South Korean president to make state visit to Washington for April 26 summit to mark 70th anniversary of alliance

South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol will visit the U.S. for a summit with Joe Biden next month to discuss alliance prospects and how to better deter North Korean threats.

ROK national security adviser Kim Sung-han announced that the summit will take place on April 26, after Kim met his American counterpart Jake Sullivan in Washington over the weekend to discuss details of the state visit.
