North Korea fires four short-range ballistic missiles as US-ROK air drills end

Latest launch comes as US B-1B strategic bombers join final day of Vigilant Storm exercises, according to ROK military

North Korea launched four short-range ballistic missiles into the Yellow Sea on Saturday morning, according to Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

The South Korean military detected the missiles launched from Dongrim in North Phyongan Province between 11:32 a.m. and 11:59 a.m. KST, JCS said. The missiles reportedly flew around 130 km at a speed of about Mach 5 and reached a max altitude of 20 km.
