North Korea launches kids commuter boat service at same lake as earlier missile

NK News analysis shows military tested underwater silos at reservoir where boats now transport rural children to school

North Korean authorities have launched a new service to transport kids to school by boat at several locations around the country, state media reported Tuesday, including at a lake where Kim Jong Un recently oversaw an underwater test launch of a ballistic missile.

The new “Mother” commuter boats will be used in remote mountain villages in four counties after leader Kim Jong Un sought a solution for students facing difficulties getting to school, according to a report in DPRK Today.
