North Korea cancels meeting with EU diplomatic service: Sources

Withdrawal by DPRK Embassy in Berlin comes after Brussels condemned Pyongyang’s ‘illegal’ missile test over Japan

The North Korean Embassy in Berlin has withdrawn from a planned meeting with the EU’s diplomatic service in Brussels, multiple informed sources have told NK News, nixing what would have been DPRK diplomats’ first in-person meeting with the European External Action Service (EEAS) since the pandemic began.

The reason for the withdrawal remains unclear, but the move followed two recent statements from Brussels that may have impacted DPRK decision-making.
