A horrific tragedy struck South Korea over the weekend as more than 150 people, most of them in their 20s and 30s, were killed in a crowd crush during Halloween celebrations in Seoul.
Condolences over the mass loss of life began to pour in from world leaders on Sunday, including U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping. But for now, there’s been a notable absence among those expressing sympathy — North Korean leader Kim Jong Un — though it may not matter to a grieving public looking for answers.
