North Korea is capable of supplying extensive quantities of ammunition to Russia for the war in Ukraine, experts told NK News on Tuesday, with one researcher stating that Moscow has been procuring arms from Pyongyang for several months.
The experts’ assessments come after The New York Times reported Monday (U.S. time) that Russia is buying “millions of North Korean artillery shells and rockets” as international sanctions on Moscow disrupt its supply chains. The Times cites newly declassified U.S. intelligence but says Washington has provided little information on the “exact weaponry, timing or size of the shipment.”
