North Korea and Russia agree to resume rail traffic, provincial government says

DPRK ambassador to Moscow reportedly reaches deal with Primorsky governor to open border for first time since 2020

North Korea and Russia reportedly agreed to resume rail traffic this month, nearly three years after the DPRK closed its regular cargo freight service to Russia.

North Korean ambassador Sin Hong Chol and Primorsky district governor Oleg Kozhemyako apparently reached the agreement at the Eastern Economic Forum, an annual international forum held in Vladivostok, according to a press release from the region on Thursday.
