U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris visited the inter-Korean border on Thursday and condemned North Korea’s continued ballistic missile tests during her first official visit to South Korea.

Her visit to the Joint Security Area (JSA) in Panmunjom comes a day after North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) into the East Sea and in the middle of joint U.S.-ROK naval exercises in nearby waters.

“In the North we see a brutal dictatorship, rampant human rights violations and an unlawful weapons program that threatens peace and stability,” Harris said, according to pool reporters.
