The U.S. “strongly supports” South Korea’s efforts to engage North Korea in dialogue and denuclearize the peninsula, a State Department spokesperson said Monday, endorsing Seoul’s plan to boost the DPRK economy if it disarms.
"We strongly support the ROK's aim to open a path for serious and sustained diplomacy with Pyongyang," spokesman Ned Price said at a press briefing in response to a question about South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol’s proposal.
