Searches targeting Suh Wook and two other former Seoul officials follow allegations they mishandled 2020 case

Seoul prosecutors raided the homes and offices of former defense minister Suh Wook and two other high-ranking officials from the Moon administration on Tuesday, in connection with allegations that they mishandled an investigation into North Korea’s killing of an ROK fisheries official in 2020.

In a press release, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office said it carried out the morning search and seizure targeting Suh, former National Intelligence Service (NIS) Director Park Jie-won and former National Security Adviser Suh Hoon.
