North Korea claims no new suspected COVID cases but isn’t celebrating yet

State media urges caution despite reporting no ‘fevers’ for three days, signals no return to pre-pandemic normalcy soon

North Korea has claimed no new suspected COVID-19 cases in the entire country for three consecutive days, but state media is not yet celebrating total victory over the virus.

The state emergency anti-epidemic headquarters reported via Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Monday that there were “no new fever cases” as of the previous day but that 144 people were still “under medical treatment” for fever.
