U.S., South Korean, and Japanese officials held trilateral meetings at different government levels last week to discuss security cooperation in the face of North Korea’s continued missile launches, the State Department said.
U.S. special representative Sung Kim “reaffirmed the importance of enhancing trilateral security cooperation” against North Korea’s continued “destabilizing and unlawful ballistic missile launches,” while committing “to work closely to mitigate the threats posed by the DPRK’s malicious cyber activity,” according to a readout released by the department on Sunday.
