South Korea will soon have a new strategic command system to respond “swiftly and resolutely” to what President Yoon Suk-yeol called North Korean “provocations,” according to the defense ministry on Wednesday.
The announcement came after Yoon led a meeting with commanders of the country’s armed forces and defense minister Lee Jong-sup the same day.
The new “strategic command” will be established through a “step-by-step” process and include a precision strike operation plan against imminent North Korean attacks called “Kill Chain” and “lead effective control and command as well as systematic development of capabilities,” the
