Kim Jong Un says Koreas at ‘brink of war’ as he boasts of nuclear forces

North Korean leader slams US-ROK military drills, defends ‘routine’ weapons buildup in speech at war anniversary event

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said South Korea-U.S. military cooperation is taking the Koreas to “the brink of war” and that his nuclear forces are “fully prepared” to engage, according to state media Thursday.

Speaking at an event the previous day celebrating “victory” over the U.S. and South Korea in the Korean War, Kim said ROK President Yoon Suk-yeol should stop making “threats” and that he and his “military gangsters” would be “wiped out” if they try to start a confrontation.
