North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and top military officials discussed “enhancing” the operability of “front-line” units on the second day of a Central Military Commission (CMC) meeting Wednesday, while appearing to display a map of the South Korean east coast, according to state media.
The CMC also discussed “revising operational plans according to the military strategic plan of the Party,” the Rodong Sinmun reported Thursday, talk that comes as South Korean officials have declared Pyongyang is “ready” to conduct its first nuclear test since 2017 at any time.
