In Moon Jae-in’s final week as South Korea’s president, North Korea released an 83-page photo book titled “The Great Transformation of North-South Relations 2018” painting a rosy picture of inter-Korean ties.
The book includes over 100 photos and positively evaluates the Moon-Kim summits in 2018, but frames the meetings as the result of the North Korean leader’s heroic efforts at diplomacy. Kim Jong Un helped usher in a “dramatic, unprecedented change” that “opened a new chapter in inter-Korean relations,” the book claims.
