North Korean state TV aired a new documentary over the weekend taking viewers behind the scenes of extensive training and planning for last month’s military parade, placing particular emphasis on Kim Jong Un’s involvement in an effort to highlight his leadership. 

The two-and-a-half-hour film shows Kim visiting Pyongyang’s Kim Il Sung Square and Mirim military parade training ground multiple times to micromanage the preparations, stating planning started as early as last summer.
