North Korean leader Kim Jong Un toured newly completed terraced apartments for elite families in Pyongyang, praising their “modern” and “convenient” design and ordering that an opening ceremony be held before a major holiday later this month, according to state media on Sunday.
The first few pages of the Rodong Sinmun showed Kim touring the grounds of the Pothong Riverside Terraced Residential District along with a retinue of top officials, reporting that the leader was “very pleased” and complimented workers for finishing construction ahead of celebrations for the April 15 birthday of founding leader Kim Il Sung.
