North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said his ruling party faces “irreparable consequences” if it can’t win the hearts and minds of the population, according to a state media report on a major conference for mid-level party officials which ended Monday.
In a closing speech, Kim demanded sincere and “motherly” leadership from thousands of officials gathered from around the country, as well as worship of himself and absolute loyalty to the ruling party’s socialist ideology.
