South Korean President Moon Jae-in has left open the possibility of an eleventh-hour inter-Korean summit as he nears the end of his time in office, while warning that a long-range missile test could plunge the Korean Peninsula back into a state of crisis.

In a written interview with local and international news agencies, Moon said the result of next month’s presidential election could influence whether it’s appropriate to hold a fourth summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
