North Korea launched “tactical guided missiles” on Monday as part of regular quality testing, state media reported the following day, confirming its fourth missile test event so far this month.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) report said it was carried out by the Academy of Defence Science and the Second Economic Commission, without mentioning the presence of leader Kim Jong Un or any particular military general.

“Two guided missiles launched from the western area of the [country] accurately hit an island target in the East Sea of Korea,” the report said.
