Palestinian envoy exits DPRK while Russian ambassador refutes earlier report

Alexander Matsegora says nine Russian diplomats in North Korea after NK News report on foreign exodus from capital city

Palestine’s ambassador to North Korea left Pyongyang early on Monday morning, informed sources told NK News, as Russia’s ambassador to the DPRK took issue with specifics of recent reporting on the number of diplomats still active at the Russian Embassy.

Ambassador Ismail Ahmed Mohamed Hasan, who had been the longest-serving diplomat in Pyongyang after being posted there in April 2009, left the capital by road toward the Chinese port city of Dandong early on Monday morning, sources said. He was accompanied by family members.
