North Korean man arrested 41 days after daring Chinese prison escape

Chinese police, netizens heavily promoted efforts to capture man who was serving time in Jilin Province prison

A North Korean man who escaped a Chinese prison in mid-October was arrested over the weekend, according to police in China's Jilin Province on the DPRK border.

Ju Hyon Gon, 39, escaped from prison in the same province on Oct. 18. He was initially arrested in China in 2013 after crossing the border from North Korea and reportedly committing theft and stabbing a woman.
