North Korean diplomat calls for dismantling ‘illegally established’ UN Command

DPRK’s ambassador to UN accuses multilateral military force of only serving US goals in the Asia-Pacific

North Korea’s ambassador to U.N. has called for dismantling the United Nations Command (UNC), arguing that the multinational military force only serves the military and political interests of the U.S.

Ambassador Kim Song slammed the U.S.-led command that has been stationed on the Korean Peninsula since the Korean War and demanded its withdrawal in a meeting of the U.N.’s Fourth Committee in New York last month, according to a video of the meeting.
