A senior South Korean diplomat has assessed that Washington and Seoul have no difference of opinion on pushing for an end-of-war declaration, claiming that “good results” will soon emerge from efforts to establish a peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.
The diplomat’s remarks come after the U.S. national security adviser stated last month that the two countries have “somewhat different perspectives” on the “sequence or timing or conditions” of formally ending the Korean War.
