G Wagon mystery: Where did North Korea get its luxury SUV?

Mercedes-Benz G-Class used as support vehicle for Kim Jong Un was briefly visible at the 2018 inter-Korean summit

A Mercedes Benz G-Class SUV used by the North Korean delegation at a summit in 2018 has no clear seller or distributor, raising questions about possible illicit channels Pyongyang may have used to obtain the luxury vehicle.

Daimler AG, the makers of Mercedes-Benz, this month told NK News that it was unable to trace how North Korea obtained the “G Wagon” seen supporting Kim Jong Un at the April 2018 inter-Korean summit at Panmunjom.
