As North Korean leader Kim Jong Un continues to slim down rapidly, North Korean state television aired a new cartoon last week featuring criticism about a girl’s weight, the latest of several broadcasts about diet in North Korean state media.

The state media focus on body weight has emerged alongside Kim’s shrinking waistline since around June. That month, Korean Central Television aired an interview with a Pyongyang man claiming that the people were “heartbroken” over their leader’s rapid drop in size.
