Peering across the inter-Korean border into North Korea from the South showed widespread agricultural activity near the west coast on Friday, as official DPRK state media confirmed over the weekend that the country is suffering a “food crisis” amid a broader national harvest failure.

NK News visited South Korea’s Ganghwa Peace Observatory with a high-powered lens. Sitting right at the inter-Korean border, the observatory provides glimpses of everyday life in North Korea.
