Kim Jong Un lectures women on raising children, how to dress

North Korean leader sends lengthy instructions to women’s union congress held over the weekend

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un stressed problems with the popularity of state ideology and the fight against threatening foreign influences on children in a speech read aloud at a women’s union conference held over the weekend, again calling attention to the issues that he has emphasized throughout this year.

In a letter released in state media on Tuesday, Kim describes how women should dress and speak, what kind of work they should do, how they should raise children and how the women's union should rein in independent-thinking peers.
