South Korea and the United States will expand cooperation in the final frontier, according to new space agreements signed between the two allies on Thursday.

“Partnering in deep space will ensure our missions are carried out in accordance with important, universal principles like transparency, safety, and peaceful exploration,” said NASA Administrator Sen. Bill Nelson, lauding the move.

One of the two agreements signed on Thursday is the Artemis Accords, which include NASA principles regarding Moon exploration cooperation. Washington and Seoul also signed a joint statement on Civil and Global Navigation Satellite Systems Cooperation.

Seoul said in a press
