US fears North Korea can rattle power plants and hospitals through cyberattacks

Pyongyang will be a “disruptive player” as its cyberattack and weapons capabilities grow, US intelligence report says

The United States is worried that North Korea can disrupt computer networks controlling infrastructure like power plants, healthcare facilities, water supplies and other key lifelines, according to a new report from several U.S. intelligence agencies.

The report, published by the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence, predicted that North Korea will be a “disruptive player” around the world, citing past cyberattacks and developments to its nuclear and missile programs.
