Fewer than 290 diplomatic mission staff remain in North Korea after waves of expats and aid workers left the country in recent months, according to the Russian Embassy in North Korea.

The Russian Embassy posted the figure on its Facebook page on Thursday, stating that 38 people from diplomatic missions left the capital city of Pyongyang on March 18and that their two-week quarantine in the Chinese city of Dandong ended on Thursday.
