Activist to defy controversial law with 500,000 leaflets for North Korea

Prominent defector says he accepts risk of imprisonment to get anti-DPRK leaflets across the border

A prominent defector-activist said on Friday that his group would launch 500,000 anti-DPRK leaflets into North Korea, despite a controversial South Korean law banning such activities that took effect in March.

Park Sang-hak stated in a press release that his group, Fighters for a Free North Korea (FFNK), will fly the leaflets across the border during the U.S. and South Korea’s “North Korea Freedom Week” between April 25 and May 1.
