UN Security Council takes no action on North Korean missile launches

Security Council issues no statement, takes no action in wake of March 25 missile testing

The U.N. Security Council took no action after discussing North Korea's March 25 missile tests at a meeting on Tuesday, NK News has confirmed, despite U.S. President Biden's warning last week that Washington would "respond accordingly" to further escalations by Pyongyang.

A closed-door Security Council meeting to discuss the recent North Korean missile tests – prohibited under multiple rounds of U.N. sanctions – was convened Tuesday in New York following requests by European countries, an informed source said, but no statement or actions were ultimately agreed to.
