As the U.S. presidential election appears to be winding down, South Korea’s presidential Blue House made one last push to promote peace goals on the Korean Peninsula.

On Thursday, the Blue House put out a statement vowing to “actively cooperate with the incoming new administration to achieve denuclearization and a peace regime” — no matter who gets elected.

“We will closely communicate with any administration, in line with the tradition of cooperation between [the U.S. and South Korea],” the statement reads. 

It added that South Korean President Moon Jae-in would attend an afternoon briefing to discuss the status of the election
