North Korea worried that winter snow and birds could spread COVID-19

State media warned citizens of infected snow after sharing fears that yellow dust from China could spread the virus

North Korean state media warned citizens that snow this winter could somehow spread COVID-19 into the country, citing claims from a prominent medical official.

Over the weekend, North Korea’s state-run Korean Central Television (KCTV) aired an interview with Pyongyang Medical College Director Ryang Hyon Min, who stated that “the malignant virus could flow in through migratory birds and even snowfall during the winter season.”
