‘My family is infuriated’: Shooting victim’s brother meets defense minister

Lee Dae-jun was killed by North Korean soldiers on Sept. 22, and his brother remains unconvinced that he tried to defect

Roughly six weeks after North Korean soldiers brutally shot and killed a South Korean government worker in DPRK waters, Seoul’s defense minister met with the victim’s brother to disclose pieces of military intelligence.

Defense minister Suh Wook met with Lee Rae-jin, the brother of the late Lee Dae-jun, on Friday after Lee requested that the Ministry of National Defense share what they know about the Sept. 22 killing.
