North Korean leader Kim Jong Un shed tears and emotionally thanked his people for “staying healthy” amid the global COVID-19 pandemic during his Oct. 10 military parade speech. The leader also claimed once again that the country is completely free of the virus.
Much of Kim’s address on Saturday appeared to be aimed at a domestic audience, with Kim repeating “thank you” at least six times and crying at least twice.
